I rediscovered my love of art late in life when my children had grown up. It began as a hobby when I taught myself how to paint with acrylics on canvas, however our home soon began to look like a gallery. I began using social media to share my work and started to sell pieces. I create landscape and abstract paintings which may be unusual but I love both. Lock down saw me painting more abstract work, I call working on abstracts ‘the art of letting go’.

I had built up a lot of relationships on twitter and found clients. I then came across the Small Business Sunday competition linked to the retail entrepreneur, Theo Paphitis. Last Sunday I tweeted about my art during ‘Small Business Sunday’ and was one of six weekly winners chosen on Monday. I am so lucky to have been chosen and cannot wait to see what opportunities lie ahead.
