inSwindon BID Co. unveil a refreshing new look for the Swindon Town Centre BID Area

Local Business Improvement District (BID) company, inSwindon BID have announced a rebranding for the Town Centre, to give the BID area its own refreshed visual identity. The aim of the initiative is to modernise the look and feel of the destination, to get people thinking differently about Swindon’s Town Centre and all it has to offer. The rebrand will include a new name ‘Town Centre inSwindon’ along with a creative new logo and high-tech website giving a more cohesive approach as well as enhancing the customer experience.

CEO of Nautoguide Ltd, Dave Barter, says, “We are delighted to see the inSwindon BID Company go live with their new website designed and built within our open source Locaria framework. Locaria uses leading-edge serverless technology to bring location data and content together in a seamless fashion. We look forward to adding new interactive mapping and automated event listing components to the site in the very near future. It’s been a pleasure to work with the BID team and their designer Kate Parsons, showing what a tight partnership can deliver in a very short space of time.”

Stage one of the new website (www.swindontowncentre.co.uk) will replace the existing one launching on  8th August 2022, with stage two following shortly after. Once complete users of the new site will receive a bespoke shopping experience with a filtering system for easy to find businesses and services, up to date news, offers and events tailored to the customer’s needs. Businesses will also have the opportunity to communicate directly with their customers on the interface.

inSwindon BID Director, Anita Bellinger, says, “The new branding has several different audiences to consider, from our local community, to businesses and tourism. We hope it will be an integral part of the exciting new chapter for the Town Centre in Swindon, which is just starting to reveal itself as being home to many remarkable makers, designer, artisans and pioneers. Displaying iconic art murals, outdoor theatre performances and interactive trails, accessible to all. With support from the community and welcomed visitors all our independent and national businesses, and dedicated services, will have a platform for their business models to shine from and a Town Centre brand to be proud to use.”

Regular visitor, Mr Peters, says, “The new branding is bright and fun, it really stands out in the Town Centre. I think the new Market planters and flags at Theatre Square are great. The changes inSwindon have brought about are making a real difference, all the murals are brilliant too. I’d encourage people to come in and see for themselves, support the businesses and talented workers, the Town Centre is changing.”

The new branding will continue to grow as part of our Destination Marketing initiative, and it will be utilised throughout the BID and wider area for all marketing and promotion purposes.
